In-Person Sessions

The Writing Center offers In-Person, face-to-face Sessions for all UNC students. In-Person Sessions happen in our Writing Center space in Ross 1230. When visiting the Writing Center, it's helpful to have a copy of your work and your assignment sheet or writing prompt (digital or print).

Appointments

It's recommended that you create an appointment for all Writing Center sessions, including In-Person Sessions, to guarantee an appointment slot, especially during busy times of the semester. Visit our online scheduling system to make an appointment. 

Late Start Policy

There is a five-minute grace period for starting a session in the Writing Center. If you think will be more than 5 minutes late, but not more than 10, call the Writing Center to hold your appointment time: 970-351-2056.

Walk-Ins

When Consultants are available, writers can walk-in for In-Person Sessions in our Ross Hall 1230 location during our hours of operation. Keep in mind that Consultant availability is low during high-traffic times such as Midterms and Finals.
